Danum Valley Field Centre
A working research station opened to independent visitors and small tour groups. Simple twin rooms or dorm beds, the same trail system and guides as the luxury lodge, at a fraction of the cost. Popular with birdwatchers and long-stay naturalists.

Infapro
Set in a rehabilitated forest reserve bordering the conservation area — the same wildlife corridor, quieter and cheaper, with shorter package options for travellers who can't spare 4–5 days.
